Adventure, intimacy, and stunning orange hoodoos
Your ultimate guide to planning a Bryce Canyon elopement.

Eloping in Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park  is one of the most magical places in the Southwest to say “I do.”  It’s the perfect playground for couples who are craving adventure, unique textures, and unforgettable memories.
I’ve had the joy of photographing elopements here and I can’t wait to help you plan yours.

Why Couples Choose Bryce Canyon?

  • Unique Landscapes: Hoodoos, natural amphitheaters, dramatic canyon views.
  • Peace & Privacy: Fewer crowds than surrounding parks, allows for more intimate moments.
  • Golden Hours: Incredible sunrises and sunsets.
  • Adventure & Romance: Hiking, scenic overlooks, and moments that feel all your own.
  • Cooler Temps: In the summer, Bryce has more moderate temps than surrounding areas.

Best Time of Year:

Locations:

Bryce Canyon sits at a higher elevation, which means cooler temperatures and dramatic seasonal changes.
  • Spring: Crisp air, lingering snow in early months, fewer crowds
  • Summer: Wildflowers and longer days, but more visitors
  • Fall: Golden light, cooler temps, and fewer crowds (a favorite)
  • Winter: Snow-dusted hoodoos and magical solitude for adventurous couples
Each season has its own unique and personal touch on the beautiful orange rocks  There really isn't a wrong answer, it will just come down to personal preference.
Some favorite elopement-friendly areas include:
  • Sunset Point – sweeping hoodoo views and golden light
  • Inspiration Point – layered canyon views that feel dramatic and cinematic
  • Fairyland Loop Rim – more privacy with stunning scenery
  • Thor’s Hammer area – iconic hoodoo formations for adventurous couples

Each location offers a different vibe depending on crowd levels, season, and time of day and I help you choose the one that best fits your vision when building your timeline.
Most elopements in Bryce Canyon National Park require a Special Use Permit.  The form is found on their website.

Permits are typically required if:
  • You’re having a ceremony inside the park
  • You have a photographer present
  • You’re using a specific overlook or trail

I help all of my couples navigate this process
From choosing a ceremony location to understanding the rules around group size, timing, and locations.
