Why Elope in  Zion National Park?

Zion is one of the most iconic national parks in the Southwest, and for good reason.
The beautiful red rock cliffs, lush canyon floors, and golden light creates an environment that feels both powerful and peaceful.

Zion National Park Permits

Most elopements and wedding ceremonies in Zion National Park require a Special Use Permit from the National Park Service.Permits help protect the park while allowing couples to celebrate respectfully within designated guidelines. Requirements can vary depending on group size, location, and time of year.
I help my couples understand:
  • Whether a permit is required for their plans
  • Which locations allow ceremonies in the park
  • Group size limits and restrictions
  • How to plan around park rules without stress
  • Best times to avoid crowds and shuttles etc.

If you’d like to see the official application, you can view the Zion National Park Special Use Permit form directly through the National Park Service below

Best time of Year to Elope in Zion

Summer:

Fall:

Winter:

Spring:

Mild temperatures, flowing rivers, and fresh greenery but also higher crowds! Lots of yellow flowers!
Cooler weather, softer light, and fewer crowds . In my opinion, this is the best time to Elope in Zion.  Fall leaves change color in East Zion.
Quiet, peaceful, and dramatic. Snow-dusted cliffs and fewer visitors make winter elopements incredibly special. It can get cold, but so beautiful!
Long daylight hours and vibrant colors, with hotter temperatures and more visitors. Early mornings and weekdays are ideal.

The best time to get married in Zion, is ALWAYS. Your ideal season depends on your tolerance for crowds, heat, and adventure.
I help couples choose timing that aligns with their vision.
